Million dollar legs

It happens once a year: the big guns hit the street in Adelaide for the Tour Downunder. At the time of this writing it's about to happen again -- it's January, 2009, hot and bright, and several of the teams are already here, and the big news is that Lance Armstrong himself will be here for the race. This shot dates from 2008 and was captured at the presentation event in Glenelg. Conditions were extremely hot in the shade and spectacularly hot in the sun. From the shadows, you can tell it's quite late in the day, and the exposure could have been tricky. In the heat ... well, the camera was left to do the hard work, with a minimum of enhancement at the software level later. Posted by Mel.
